The short answer

For the golden door, called the Queen's Door in-game, place Cooked Veggies, Bean Soup and Stew on the table: one finished dish on each of its three slots.

Finding the table

Single-source player report: in item 13 of the Steam post linked below, DocNovak describes a large room with many bats, a golden door and a table in the center. The post places the cooking ingredients in the side rooms and lists a Grappling Hook as required. We have not verified this route in-game.

Prepare the meals

Use the Cooking Pot. The sources describe these ingredient combinations:

  • Cooked Veggies: two or three vegetables (DocNovak used Wild Pepper + Corn + Tomato).
  • Bean Soup: two Black Beans, without other ingredients.
  • Stew: Raw Meat + Wild Pepper.

See our cooking recipes and stations guide for the station requirements and recipe mix-ups.

Fill the three slots

  1. Check the cooked names and bring all three finished meals.
  2. Set a different dish on each of the three table slots.
  3. Check that the door opens when the set is complete.

NPC Tips file-analysis rule (single source): the dishes can occupy any slots, in any order. The diagram illustrates the set, not a required placement order.

What the table accepts

NPC Tips file-analysis rules (single source): the door stays open after it opens. Placed meals are not consumed, but continue to spoil; Rotten Food does not count. Check for spoiled meals, missing dishes or duplicates if the door remains closed.

NPC Tips says the slots reject ingredients such as Wild Pepper, Raw Meat and Black Beans. Some raw foods, including Tomato, can be placed but do not satisfy the puzzle. We have not reproduced these rules in-game.
